Internet Small Computer Systems Interface (iSCSI) เป็น Internet Protocol ใช้สำหรับการแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลในโลกของ Storage Networking ซึ่งจะทำงานอยู่บนมาตรฐาน TCP/IP Network ในรูปแบบของ Server-Client โดยที่ iSCSI Target (Server) จะเป็นผู้ให้บริการ Storage แก่ iSCSI Initiator (Clients) เพื่อนำ Storage ดังกล่าวไปใช้งาน
ในบทความนี้จะแสดงวิธีการคอนฟิก iSCSI Target (Server) บน ระบบปฏิบัติการ Windows Server 2022 เพื่อแชร์พื้นที่ Storage ให้ iSCSI Initiator (Client) ใช้งาน
Environment – iSCSI Target (Server)
- Computer Name: DC
- Operating System: Windows Server 2022 Standard
- IP Address: 10.0.0.99
Environment – iSCSI Initiator (Client)
- Computer Name: DESKTOP-JRGOBFB
- Operating System: Windows 10 PRO
- IP Address: 10.0.0.110

ขั้นตอนการตั้งค่า iSCSI Target มีดังนี้
1.การติดตั้ง iSCSI Taget (Server)
Step1: เปิดหน้าต่าง Server Manager -> คลิ๊ก Add roles and features
Step2: Before you begin -> คลิ๊ก Next
Step3: เลือก Role-based or feature-based installation -> คลิ๊ก Next
Step4: Select Server ที่ต้องการติดตั้ง -> คลิ๊ก Next
Step5: เลือก Server role เป็น iSCSI Target Server -> คลิ๊ก Next
Step6: ไม่ต้องเลือกเพิ่ม ใช้ค่า Default -> คลิ๊ก Next
Step7: กด Install เพื่อเริ่มการติดตั้ง
Step8: เมื่อการติดตั้งเสร็จเรียบร้อย -> คลิ๊ก Close
2. การคอนฟิก iSCSI Target (Server)
Step1: เปิดหน้าต่างเมนู Server Manager -> คลิ๊กที่ File and Storage Services
Step2: เลือก iSCSI และคลิ๊กที่ To create an iSCSI virtual disk, start the New iSCSI Virtual Disk Wizard
Step3: เลือก Path ที่ต้องการเก็บไฟล์ของ iSCSI Target (Server)
Step4: ตั้งชื่อ iSCSI virtual disk
Step5: ระบุขนาดของ Disk ที่ต้องการ และเลือกเป็น Dynamically expanding
Step6: เลือก New iSCSI target
Step7: ตั้งชื่อ iSCSI Target
Step8: กด Add เพื่อกำหนด iSCSI Initiatior (Client) ที่สามารถเข้ามาใช้งานได้
Step9: เลือก Enter a value for the selected type และเลือก Type เป็น IP Address และใส่ IP ของ iSCSI Initiator ลงไป
Step10: คลิ๊ก Next
Step11: เปิดการใช้งาน Authentication -> เลือก Eanble CHAP -> ใส่ username และ Password -> คลิ๊ก Next
Step12: คลิ๊ก Next
Step13: กด Create เพิ่มเริ่มการคอนฟิก iSCSI Target
Step14: ระบบจะแสดงสถานะการสร้าง เมื่อเสร็จเรียบร้อย สามารถกด Close เพื่อปิดได้เลย
Step 15: เมื่อ iSCSI Initiator ได้ทำการ Connect มาที่ Virtual disk ที่เราสร้างไว้ สถานะของ iSCSI Initiator บน Windows Server จะอยู่ในสถานะ Connected ดังรูป
